MTED builds two press platforms for aluminum foil container production: the C-Frame series and the Gantry (H-Type) series. Same forming process, same container quality standard, different structure — built for different production profiles.
Structure decides everything else. Frame type sets your mold-change time and how rigid the press stays under continuous cycling.
The C-Frame is an open, single-side structure. The Gantry (H-Type) frame closes the loop with four columns. That one difference in geometry decides your mold-change speed and how rigid the press stays under continuous cycling — so the right platform comes down to your production pattern, not price.
A single-side open structure with three exposed access faces — the mold sits in an open cavity instead of inside a closed loop, so it can be pulled, swapped, and re-indexed without stripping down the frame. Built for shops running multiple container shapes on one line, where the order book changes size or shape often.

A closed loop with four load-bearing columns surrounding the ram — the structure resists deflection and holds tolerance through long, high-speed runs, though every side is enclosed, so a mold swap means accessing the tool from inside the column span. Suited to producers standardized on one or two container formats at volume.

Both platforms run the same aluminum foil coil, feeding, and stacking process. Figures below are ranges across the model lineup — full specs by tonnage are on each product page.
| Parameter | C-Type (45T–80T) | H-Type (25T–80T) |
|---|---|---|
| Frame structure | C-Frame, open side | Gantry, 4-column closed |
| Structural stability | Open frame — some flex under load | Closed loop — higher rigidity, minimal deflection |
| Nominal force | 45T / 63T / 80T | 25T / 63T / 80T |
| Cavity capacity | 1–5 cavity | Up to 6 cavity |
| Mold change | Fast — open-side access | Slower — column-span access |
| Work table | Single mobile table | Dual mobile work tables |
| Best fit | Round pans, entrée trays, specialty shapes, frequent product changeovers | Family-size oblong pans, high-volume takeout containers, long production runs |
| Price range (USD) | $21,600 – $44,000 | $14,500 – $44,800 |
The press is half the line. MTED also designs and machines the aluminum foil container moulds that run on every MTED foil container making machine — smooth wall, wrinkle wall, and custom cavity configurations, built to your container spec.
