Top 10 Aluminum Foil Container Machine Suppliers

The ten suppliers worth shortlisting split two ways: Italian servo-press builders Italwork Rolls and Quality Tools at the technology end, and eight Chinese machine-and-mold makers — Silver Engineer, Choctaek, Ungar, LIKEE, Jiangsu Finest, Boway, MTED (our own plant), and Zhuli — covering everything from mold specialism to turnkey lines. If you are still weighing the country question itself, we have compared Chinese and Italian builders head to head.

One caveat applies to every entry, ours included: no independent body audits container machinery builders, so every figure below is the company’s own published claim. Use the list to build a shortlist, then verify the claims that matter during quotation and acceptance testing.

Italwork Rolls S.r.l.

Italwork Rolls, in Magenta near Milan, is the technology ceiling of this list: a machinery builder since 1964 whose container offering is the PTP/SW servo press line and the complete plant around it. The press is engineered for wrinkle-wall, smooth-wall, and air-line-lacquered foil containers as well as paper trays, with a brushless servo drive under CNC control in place of a pneumatic circuit.

The company claims a working width up to 1150 mm — the widest published on this list — and multiline plants it rates at up to 20,000 containers per hour. The natural fit is a high-volume plant where width, speed, and drive control justify European pricing.

Quality Tools S.r.l.

Quality Tools is the second Italian option: a Brescia firm that has built complete lines and tooling for aluminum and paper food containers since 1978. Unlike Italwork it publishes both drive types — servo presses TSP and TS180 alongside conventional presses T130, PR01, and T63 for aluminum work.

Tooling is engineered in-house. Shortlist it if you want Italian mold quality but need the option of a conventional press at a lower entry point than a servo line.

Zhejiang Silver Engineer Machinery

Silver Engineer is a Chinese line builder with an unusually deep mold department. Founded in 2010 and based in Jiashan, Zhejiang, it lists container machines from the SEAC-900 (3 cavities) to the SEAC-1700 (6 cavities) at 630 to 1300 kN.

The tooling side is the differentiator: the company states 60-plus mold R&D and production engineers and more than 3,000 custom molds delivered. It also builds lid die-cutting machines, rewinders, and sheet lines.

Foshan Choctaek Machinery Mould Factory

Choctaek is the mold specialist of the list. The Guangdong factory has made aluminum foil container molds since 2003 — 3,000 sets by 2022, by its own count — and added production lines (models C-700, C-1000, C-1300) around that core.

Mold coverage spans wrinkle-wall, smooth-wall, and BBQ shapes, with stackers, embossers, and foil scrap systems as auxiliaries. The natural buyer is a plant that already runs presses and is adding shapes, or one whose purchase decision turns on tooling rather than the machine.

Ungar Machinery (Shanghai) Co., Ltd.

Ungar is the smallest operation here and sells on engineering pedigree: a Shanghai builder established in 2011 that states its machines are designed by an Austrian team, with important parts made in Austria. Its self-reported headcount is 11 to 50 people.

The range is nonetheless broad — container machines, molds, decoilers, rewinders, auto-packing machines, stackers, scrap presses, and lid cutters. Shortlist it if a European design at Chinese pricing appeals.

Shanghai LIKEE Machinery Mould Co., Ltd.

LIKEE is a Shanghai machine-and-mold maker, established 2010, selling container machines in 63-, 80-, and 130-ton versions with its own wrinkle-wall and smooth-wall molds.

Beyond the press it covers most of the container room: semi-auto and auto rewinders, packing machines, lid die-cutting machines, and sheet cutters. That makes it a candidate when you want one Chinese supplier to scope the whole floor rather than the forming line alone.

Jiangsu Finest Technology Co., Ltd.

Jiangsu Finest, in Rugao, is a converting-machinery house first — rewinders for foil, cling film, and baking paper — with container making machines in the range, and states 19-plus years in the industry with CE and ISO certification. It suits a plant where converting equipment shares the floor with container production.

Its stand-out published term is a five-year warranty on all machines covering both parts and labor. If that term survives into your contract, it is a real differentiator.

Ningbo Boway Automation Technology Co., Ltd.

Boway is a Ningbo automation builder covering the container line end to end — forming press, automatic feeding, sorting and stacking, and the packaging machinery after it — with over 15 years of R&D by its own account. Listed machines include a 63-ton 4-cavity press with Siemens PLC and a 45-ton tray machine for takeaway containers.

The end-of-line emphasis is the differentiator: shortlist Boway if you want forming through packing specified and commissioned by one supplier.

MTED Machinery

MTED Machinery is our own plant. We have built container machinery in Wenzhou, Zhejiang since 1995, in two press frames: the open-back C-type for high-speed standard containers and the closed-gantry H-type for deep-draw and heavy-tonnage work.

The forming molds — wrinkle-wall and smooth-wall, single- and multi-cavity — are made in-house and matched to the press, along with the line equipment around it: decoiling, precision feeding, automatic oiling, and stacking.

Shanghai Zhuli Machinery Co., Ltd.

Zhuli is the youngest company on the list — founded June 2020 in Jinshan, Shanghai — selling fully automatic container machines and molds with 63-, 80-, and 130-ton presses. It states an output of around 60 machines and 150 mold sets a year, 80 to 90 percent of it exported.

Line scope is complete on paper, down to mold changers, scrap suckers, and balers. The short track record is the fact to weigh: a young supplier’s claims are the ones to verify hardest before a deposit.

Conclusion

Shortlist by the constraint that binds your plant, not by list position. Width and stroke rate at the top of the market point to the Italian servo builders; a tooling-driven purchase points to Choctaek or Silver Engineer; a whole-room scope points to LIKEE, Boway, or Zhuli; and C-type versus H-type frame choice is our own territory.

Whoever makes the cut, run the finalists through a structured supplier evaluation before any money moves.
