Aluminum foil container mould

Smooth Wall Container Mould

Cavity block machined from Cr12MoV / DC53 mould steel, core zones vacuum heat-treated to HRC 58–60. Forms a flat, unwrinkled sidewall on lacquered, unlacquered, plain or colored foil, on either our C-type or H-type press.

What "Smooth Wall" Actually Requires From the Mould

A flat sidewall has zero tolerance for uneven blank-holder pressure or a soft cavity edge. Three build details do the work.

Punch and die set, unassembled

No Wrinkle Zone at the Corner Radius

Corner radius and blank-holder clearance are cut to match your foil gauge (typically 0.045–0.09mm), so the wall stays flat instead of pleating at the draw corners.

Cavity Edge Holds Its Line Past 500K Strokes

Core and cavity inserts are Cr12MoV or DC53 steel, vacuum hardened to HRC 58–60. Cavity edges are the first thing to round off on a soft mould – this is what stays sharp under continuous runs.

Cavity Pitch Matched to Your Press Bolster

We confirm your press bolster dimensions and T-slot spacing before laying out cavities, so the finished mould bolts straight onto your existing line without a fixture plate.

Cavity Count Is Set by Your Press Tonnage, Not a Catalog Tier

A 45T C-type bed comfortably runs 1–4 cavities on standard container sizes. Step up to 63T or 80T and 6+ cavities become practical without exceeding blank-holder force per cavity.

Send us your container footprint and target output per hour – we size the cavity count against your existing press, not the other way around.

From Drawing to Running Mould

01

Drawing Review – 1–2 Days

We check container footprint, draw depth and your press bolster size, then confirm cavity count and steel grade in writing.

02

CNC Machining – 10–15 Days

Cavity block, punch and blank-holder are roughed and finish-machined to drawing tolerance on our own CNC centers.

03

Heat Treatment & Grinding – 6–10 Days

Core and cavity go to HRC 58–60, then surface-ground back to final dimension to remove treatment distortion.

04

Trial Run & Sign-Off – 2–3 Days

Mould runs on our own press. Container samples are measured against your drawing and shipped to you before the mould does.
